How VCI is made

VCI Bag, or Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor bag, is a poly packaging film converted to a bag that is manufactured with added VCI chemistry.

VCI film can be manufactured in many forms including rolls, sheets, bags, tubing, and shrink film and it is an easy-to-use, clean, and dry packaging option for metal/metal parts.

How VCI works

VCI molecules protect metals from corrosion by forming a thin, invisible layer on the surface.

This layer inhibits the corrosion process caused by oxygen, water, and contaminants. A Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor bag can be made in different sizes, weights, seals, and inhibitor types.

VCI film protects metal from rust and corrosion in two ways — it serves as a physical barrier against moisture, dust, or contaminants, and as a rust-eradicating corrosion inhibitor.
